GREEN INITIATIVES AT AERODERIVATIVE GAS TURBINE SUPPORT, INC.(AGTSI)

AGTSI continues its support of a clean environment by using various activities in our business model. Each and every team member is actively involved in eco-friendly initiatives, such as reuse of resources, conservation, recycling programs and partnership with eco-friendly companies.

Reusing existing space

When AGTSI decided to expand there was the option to build a new building. The Company decided to use an existing building and convert it to a more environmentally friendly building. One of the main features of the new location is in our warehouse, where we have installed a two level catwalk system to use the most space available.

Reducing energy

We want to consume as little energy as possible. Since the start of business in the new location, we have been using motion detector light switches, high efficiency lighting, and high efficiency air conditioning. Our building has insulated ceilings, including the warehouse ceiling. All our computers and printers are Energy Star qualified devices. In a nutshell we are using less energy per square foot and we are striving for even more energy reduction.

Responsible practices

In our office and warehouse we participate in the community recycling programs such as aluminum soda cans, glass and plastic bottles as well as all used cardboard and paper. We have also chosen filtered water as opposed to bottled water. We are in process of implementing systems and procedures that require less paper or no paper at all.

Supporting green initiatives

AGTSI has partnered with companies that are using clean renewable energy. For example, our websites are hosted by a certified US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Green Power Partner and our newsletters are printed on recycled paper.
